It’s twins! Kind of. Two new courses to help you write your book proposal.

This week I’m launching not one, but two new courses to help writers who are wrestling with their book proposal—whether they’re already writing one, or wondering if they even need to.

Baby number 1: How to Write a Book Proposal for Your Memoir—A Webinar

I’ve teamed up with memoir guru Joanne Spataro to present a webinar specifically about writing a book proposal for your memoir. In this 90-minute, on-demand webinar, we answer all of the pressing questions like:

· How can I find a publisher for my memoir?

· What even IS a book proposal?

· Can’t I just send in my manuscript?

· What are agents and editors looking for?

· How can I make my memoir stand out?

Along the way, we also touch on saxophones and out-of-body experiences. You’ll have to join us to find out why!

The webinar is pre-recorded, so when you register you will receive a link to the video, an audio-only version, and a squeaky-clean transcript.

With this webinar, Joanne and I cut through the confusion so that you can convince agents and editors to fall in love with your memoir concept.

Baby number 2: How To Write a Book Proposal That Sells—A Masterclass

For a deeper dive into the book proposal process, this 7-week masterclass gives nonfiction writers of all kinds the inside track to landing a book deal.

If you’re developing a nonfiction book (whether it’s self-help, how-to, spirituality, thought leadership, or memoir), you need to write a book proposal. It will become the blueprint for your book: how it is structured, what it will do for its readers, how they will discover it, why you are the ideal author to write it.

You’ll receive 7 email lessons, accompanied by audio files so you can hear my dulcet tones (I have a cute Australian accent!), a downloadable workbook, and plenty of sample outlines and templates to boost your proposal writing.

Through taking this course, you will:

· Understand what literary agents and acquisitions editors are looking for

· Discover the 7 key ingredients of an outstanding book proposal

· Create a book proposal that showcases the outstanding qualities of your book concept and you as the ideal author

It’s self-paced, so you can take the 7 weeks I suggest, or dig in more intensively, whatever suits your life.
