Writers: you need to get the knowledge

Writers who understand the book business are better able to make their way through it. Simple as that.

In last weekend’s Courier Mail, Kate Eltham (CEO of the dynamic Queensland Writers Centre) gave some top pointers from literary agents on publishing success.

Many of the agents said that many writers lack understanding about the publishing process. Do your research, the agents said. Attend industry events and arm yourself with practical knowledge.
